Online Scheduling... Why Not Add Reporting?

The motto over here at Your Next Seven is to make scheduling your staff as easy as possible. I know it's been a couple of months since we've last posted anything, but it's not because we're missing. It's because we're working hard to bring you the best program available.

I'm proud to introduce the newest member to our scheduling software, reporting. Over the next few posts we'll be updating you, our users, on what you can do with YN7 now. Today's video overview shows you the most simple, yet most desired add-on in the reporting suite.

Scheduled labor percentages.

You've always been able to input employee wages and view projected labor costs from any of our scheduling tools. Now with YN7 you can add in projected sales for each day and instantly view daily labor percentages and weekly labor percentages.
Everything is auto-calculated and added on to our software at no additional cost. We're here to make things easier for you, get used to it.

Check out the video below demonstrating how to use the tool (it's short and sweet.)

Cold Stone Creamery Joins Our Online Scheduling Revolution!

Not familiar with Cold Stone? You've been under a rock for a while now. They've got some of the best ice cream creations you can throw in an amazing waffle cone or milk shake (my personal favorite). If you hurry now you might still be able to try their Mojito flavor. In one word, "Amazing".

So, why am I talking about these guys? Because they are now on the growing list of satisfied customers using Your Next Seven's intuitive online employee scheduling. They're not new to online scheduling, but they have found comfort in switching over to our more "intuitive" program. That's what we're here for, to make your life easier with offering a simple scheduling solution that make sense to use.

Employee Schedule Bar Graph View

I know I've talked to most of our clients personally and I love hearing feedback on our scheduling system. One thing I always tell our users is if you have any suggestions on ways we can make this easier for you, please speak up. This is one of those examples. We already created 1 different schedule type we call our "Task Layout" for restaurants who want to easily view the number of employees in a task. Now, we're pleased to introduce our "Bar Graph Layout". This will allow users to view their schedule as a bar graph, pretty straight forward :)

Here's a nice little video for you to watch:

Online scheduling never ceases to blow my mind.

Just a quick blurb, I was talking to some of our restaurant managers from a few different locations and every one of them said they're saving about an hour a week just in creating the schedule alone. Now, this wouldn't be surprising if they were all larger restaurants, but two of them have about 30-40 employees and one has 7 employees. That just blew my mind that a restaurant with only 7 employees is finding as much time saving in dealing with the scheduling process. Good stuff.

Here's a quick testimonial from the manager over at Stadia Sport Grill:

Some More Goodness to our Online Employee Scheduling Platform

Well, apparently so much happened in May that I forgot to blog. We launched some new updates to the system that allows managers to not only keep track of their schedule, but they can also put in hourly pay rates and project scheduled labor costs! While doing that we added in a few more features:

  • Add/Edit/Delete Shifts without refreshing the page
  • Add double shifts for a single employee from the employee layout view
  • Copy/Paste shifts from one employee to another
  • Quickly manage tasks when editing an employee's shift

And as always, here's a nice video for you to watch to guide you through the updates:

Customer Testimonial - Jair Galloso, GM at Stadia Grill, The Woodlands

So, we've started getting some testimonials recently and have a strong urge to share them with the world. It's always nice hearing good things from our customers. Here is Jair's:

"Pretty easy to use. I have one girl taking over my scheduling and she's found it easy to jump in, it's very user friendly. My favorite feature of Your Next Seven would definitely be the messages and the ability to send everyone their schedule through email and text. Scheduling wise, I save about an hour writing the schedule. The main time saving is that I'm able to contact and reach everyone instead of calling people and telling them their schedule. With this I put it online and they get it right away, that cuts my time down. I don't find myself getting calls from employees asking scheduling questions."

After that we wanted to ask him one question, "Would you recommend this to other restaurants?", he responded, "Absolutely.".

Great to hear from you Jair. If you have a comment or testimonial you'd like to share about Your Next Seven just hit us up below!

Huge Thanks to Crabby Daddy Seafood and Steak House

I've posted before and I'll probably post again. Crabby Daddy has some of the best seafood around and they came through for our family yesterday. We were having a celebration for a little guy that we adopted into our family and wanted to provide some incredible food for the party. What better than fish tacos! We enjoyed every bite of them and are lucky enough to have leftovers to enjoy again and again :) If you need a little or a lotta food for a party, I highly recommend the crew over at Crabby Daddy.

A Little (well lotta) Friday Fun with Online Scheduling

One of the great things about scheduling employees online is saving time. We've added a new page to Your Next Seven that overviews just how awesome that time saving can be by over-viewing all of our users' online scheduling stats.

We believe you save so much time in fact that we had to add a little time killer to make up for time lost. Now if you every have a frustrating day, just be sure to visit our online employee scheduling solution and click on "Destroy the Things" at the bottom of the page.

Here's a little demo of what's in store:

Online Employee Scheduling New Features!

You ask, we listen. Here is a video over-viewing some of the updates that were just rolled out on Your Next Seven. The updates include:

  • Added notes for employees (managers view only)
  • Adding certificates and expiration dates so no training certificate gets forgotten
  • The ability to re-order employees however you like on the schedule

Another thing you probably won't notice is the "https" appearing in the url of Your Next Seven now. We believe security is the top priority when storing your employees' schedules online so we built an extra wall around our site to keep prying eyes out.

Thank you for using our scheduling software and let us know if there's any way we can make things easier for you (besides building a robot, that didn't turn out so well).

Have to brag on one of my restaurants...

I just went to Stadia Sports Grill and had the Potato Skins followed by a Grand Slam burger. Holy crap. If you don't know anything about me know this, I love burgers. This burger was great starting with the beef (considering that's the most important part), then adding on all of the classics: bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, pickles and if that weren't enough they had to throw on guacamole. Sorry if that was a run-on sentence, it kind of had to be. Highly recommended though. Oh, and a Jack and Coke washes it down very nicely (or two).

Thanks to Jordan for the excellent service. It's always nice visiting some of our users.

Pure Healthy Eatery

Who ever knew eating healthy could be this good? Pure Healthy eatery is among the growing restaurants hopping on Your Next Seven's online scheduling software and man are we glad. In addition to serving amazing wraps and salads, they have a burger that is out of this world. I myself am a burger fanatic and their bison burger is incredible. Couple that with the sweet potato fries... mwah! It's a match made in Heaven.

Check them out online at http://www.liveandeatpure.com, or head over to their Facebook for some great food shots (I wouldn't recommend being hungry when you look at these). All this to say, glad to have y'all on board.

Stadia Sports Grill keeps track of their schedule online

This place has more tv's than NASA. Really, it's insane. All of them are fined tuned to any sport you could wish for and engulfed by a dark wood atmosphere and a fun loving staff. Don't just take my word for it though, check them out yourself: http://www.stadiagrill.com/.

If you're ever in The Woodlands or Katy, I'd highly recommend checking them out.

It's been about 2 months now since they've been using Your Next Seven and they've seen it grow strong from it's infancy. Just wanted to say a quick thank you to their awesome management staff and employees for trusting us with your every day scheduling.

CrabbyDaddy joins Your Next Seven

I have a very close passion for CrabbyDaddy's that stems back to 2007 when I had my first dish of snow crab. From there I keep going back as they evolved into having the best fish tacos in town and an unreal assortment of po-boys!

Here's a quick blurb from their site that shows some of the history:
"Crabby Daddy's opened in the The Woodlands, Texas, area in the Spring of 2000, a natural growth result from the bustling Woodlands Seafood Market, right next door. Louie and his brother Nick are third generation seafood dealers. Their grandfather and great uncle started the family seafood business, “ Chagouris & Matthews,” in Baltimore , Maryland in 1917."

It's good to have them on board!

Let the blogging begin...

Here we are with a blog and we're ready to write. We just started our 4th week of officially getting the word out on the new site and we're loving it. We have 5 restaurants actively using the online scheduling and have decided to start reviewing each on the blog because their food rocks.
